Sarkodie beat competition from E.L, Omar Sterling, Flowking Stone and Pappy Kojo.
Elorm Adablah, known in showbiz circles as EL, has stated that either he or Paedae of R2bees should have won Best Rapper of the Year at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s The Profiler, EL who won five awards on the night said he thought either he or Paedae would win that category.
“Best Rapper of the Year award should have gone to either Paedae or myself. I honestly thought that award was going to either me or Paedae… When his ‘Nineteen Ninety’ track dropped it was wild fire. I just felt it could have swung our way but that doesn’t take away from the genius artiste Sarkodie,” he is quoted by myjoyonline.com.
