Fetish priest, Nana Kwaku Bonsam has prophesied that dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, will win an international award before the year ends.
Kwaku Bonsam in a video posted on Facebook could not fathom why Shatta Wale excluded from the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs). He questioned why organisers could not forgive the artiste for maligning the scheme.
In the video, Kwaku Bonsam is heard asking Shatta Wale to remain calm, adding that an international award awaits him.

“I don’t understand why they can’t forgive Shatta Wale. I was watching the awards and realised Shatta’s name was not mentioned. Shatta, I, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, prophesy that you will win an international award this year. You will win an authentic award for people to know that you are creative. Nobody can stop you. Nobody!” he stated.
The VGMAs board at a press conference in February stated that Shatta Wale does not qualify for this year’s edition of the event because he has not completed the process of officially apologising for maligning it.
The announcement generated controversies in the media. While some pundits agreed with the board, others argued that Shatta Wale’s talent and works should be awarded than disqualifying him based on his character.
