The five minutes, fifteen seconds song, produced by Unklebeatz saw Medikal rap like Sarkodie, EL, Joey B, Omar Sterling, Kofi Kinaata, Yaa Pono and Criss Waddle at different times.
Music producer, Justice Oteng, popularly known as Wei Ye Oteng, has lauded rapper, Medikal, for his ability to mimic seven rappers in his ‘Connect’ track.
Medikal has explained that he did so because the aforementioned rapper are his favourites and wanted to acknowledge their talents.

The effort, according to Oteng, is worth commending because the rapper was able to mimic his colleagues so well.
Oteng mentioned that although Medikal could not sound like the artistes throughout his delivery, his ability to sound like them for fifteen seconds was great.
“What he did is not easy; there is one thing he got right. He was able to tap into their DNA very well. Everyone and his melodies and that is why when you hear a line or two, you can say it’s coming from this or that rapper. You can’t change that DNA and it’s very difficult for someone to tap into that for more than thirty seconds,” he said on Pluzz FM.
“I learnt something called ‘Vocal and Consciousness’. If I start to imitate you, I need to be very conscious of your voice, your face and your presentation in order to get the delivery right. You realise that within the first fifteen seconds, he sounds like the artistes [he is mimicking] but shifts a bit from their voices. But getting it at the first part is just brilliant,” the Drumline Studios boss added.
Meanwhile, Medikal has stated that responses from the artistes he mimicked have been positive as remarks from them suggest that they are happy about the piece.
