The man behind hits such as “Kiss” and “Purple Rain” was only 57 years old.
The singer, whose real name Prince Rogers Nelson, had to undergo a medical procedure on April 15.
His private jet had an emergency landing in Illinois. But the next day rockstar appeared on stage during a concert to reassure his fans.
His management team had stated in the press that he had contracted a simple flu.
