Award winning music video director, Stanley Adjetey has asserted that some artistes never share contacts to international channels with their fellow artistes who would want their videos shown on those channels.
Some artistes, he has intimated, have contacts to persons who can easily be contacted in order to get on these channels but have unfortunately refused to give them out.
This he believes has hindered equally good local music videos from getting airtime on international platforms.

“They will be the only artistes having their videos on Trace TV, they wouldn’t show you the way to get there… I know artistes in Ghana who have travelled all around the world, they know the links to where to take the music video; they won’t give you. It’s very pathetic,” he noted.

The 2015 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) Best Music Video Director advised that artistes share with their colleagues, contacts to the right people with regards to international channels they are aware of, so as to get their music videos which meet their requirements shown.
According to him, this will help artistes, especially younger ones who have no contacts to these channels.
“We should all learn to share platforms that help us to get our works there faster… I know several times that Knii Lante and his manager tried sending videos to some platforms, they were there but it’s not being shown because maybe it got through the wrong ones but met the requirements,” he said.
