Pop star, Justin Beiber has finally deleted his Instagram account after fans trolled his new girlfriend Sofia Richie on the social media.
The 22-year-old singer had earlier posted a number of photos with the 17-year-old model and daughter of music legend, Lionel Richie whiles on tour in Japan. But fans of Beiber who are still keen on a Beiber and Selena reunion made hateful speeches and life threatening messages against Sophie
But Bieber didn’t take the internet trolling and threats lightly and posted a message on his account asking his fans to respect the people he chose to be with.
“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate,” the Canadian pop star captioned in a photo of himself and Sophie. “This is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
But the comments and hate speech didn’t stop after the warning with his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez also weighing into the controversy. In a comment on the photo, Selena asked Justin to show more respect to his fans. “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only,” Gomez wrote “Don’t be mad at your fans,” she added. “They love you.”
But Beiber clapped back with this comment on the post “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.”
After he couldn’t stand the abuse anymore, Justin Bieber made true his threat to quit Instagram by deleting his account.
A search for Justin Beiber’s page will only show the following “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. Go back to Instagram.”
