Hiplife musician, Kontihene, has stated that BBnZ Live label artiste, Elorm Adablah aka E.L, indeed merited the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards “Artiste of the Year”.
After the rapper was adjudged “Artiste of the Year” at the just ended VGMAs, some critics and industry players have expressed that he did not deserve the award because other artistes performed better than he did the year under review.
But to Kontihene, E.L, who won four other awards on the night, really deserved it because he worked towards it.
In an interview with Pulse.com.gh, the “Gye Nyame” hit maker said “He deserves it so far he was able to get his game right.”
Kontihene further indicated that any artiste who thinks he has been cheated can drag Charterhouse, the organisers of the annual awards ceremony to court.
“Right now, we are in a democratic world. If your feel your rights are being trampled on, you are free to go to court for justice.
“It’s just an honour to be in that position (VGMAs Artiste of the Year). Anything that has to do with human, there’s either fracas or misunderstanding. I think it’s normal but so far as any winner was able to get his game on, congrats to them,” Kontihene added.
Kontihene is out with a dance song titled “Omame Opapa”. The song was produced by Hydraulix.
